Hi there! Welcome to my little series called Encouraging Bible Verses. I’d love for you to browse the other posts in this series. Grab some coffee and let’s dive in to God’s word together.
It just so happens that I’m reading the book of 1 John, and between that and Valentine’s Day coming up this month, love is undeniably the topic on my heart and mind. If you want to understand God’s love for you, stay awhile. I’m really glad you’re here.
I didn’t choose this theme just because it fits with February. I chose it because God’s love for us is the overarching theme of the Bible. It’s the foundation of my life and what I believe. And I can say without a doubt that you are cherished beyond measure by God. He thinks you’re pretty amazing, and He loves you more than you can comprehend. We all need reminders of that love, whether you’ve known it for a long time or never even heard it. You are loved, and you’re His valentine. Here’s some scripture to prove it.

You’re His Valentine
Verses on God’s Extravagant Love for You
With your unfailing love you lead the people you have redeemed. In your might, you guide them to your sacred home.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Give thanks to the God of gods. His faithful love endures forever.
But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel,
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
“For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I have given Egypt as your ransom,
Cush and Seba in your place.
“Since you are precious in My sight,
Since you are honored and I love you,
I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.
Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written,
“For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.
2 Thessalonians 3:5
See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
1 John 3:1-2
By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:9-12
I hope you feel His love for you today and every day.
